Vince used to fall off the drum seat in Brigades Like This and get the tribal dance party started drumming in Aristeia. Griffin used to break guitar strings and scream in Brigades Like This and Devolver. Now they are Hearts and Minutes, wandering from pizza joints to basement airplane bars to Spain looking for a good show.
Hearts and Minutes:

Brigades Like This combines dreamy epic melodies with urgent and noisy breaks. Two guitars and an occassional somber keyboard circle over bass loops and a drum crescendo, while the two vocalists trade passionate words. Formed early in 2005, the band has been perfecting their songs and performing wherever and whenever possible since then. They have nearly completed recording their first album, which will be released in early 2007. With members located in many West Coast cities (Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles), the band has three key members with a rotating cast of guests.
The Brigades Collective:
pdx-vince - drums
sfo-matthew - vox/guitars/bass
lax-griffin - vox/guitars/keys/bass
nyc-daniel - bass
antonio - bass (at times)
russ - drums (at times)
roland - bass (at times)

Our first band to join the label, Devolves is a band from San Francisco, California. With Griffin Wright as the main singer/songwriter, the line-up of the rest of the band is ever-changing. In 2002, Devolves began as a three-piece under the name November Occupation with Antares Meketa on drums and Mark Meyer on bass. In 2004 the band changed their name to Devolver, released their debut album, and became a two-piece, with Mark leaving the band to become a scholar. Undergoing further changes in 2005, Griffin and Antares parted ways. Griffin carries on the band under the name Devolves. It is mainly a one-piece with occasional guests. Devolves dabbles in effects-laden guitars, moody keyboards, and drums that follow odd time signatures with a rough edge. Griffin cries over the top, and a sparse yet grand sound ensues.
